A couple of days ago I had the pleasure of attending an event with the Lush Birmingham crew, we were shown around the store and presented with this years Christmas range. We all love Christmas with Lush, I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who says they don’t love their Christmas range, it’s such a classic and with faves such as Snow Fairy rising to the occasion once again, there’s something for everyone.
My favourite season is the Summer, we’re all very well aware of this fact, but I can’t deny that I love the Winter cosiness and with the cold dark evenings and moodiness that comes with the Autumn/Winter timeframe comes the want for a cosy bath more often than not.
I enjoy great smells too, and with the Christmas launch comes a few more goodies at Lush that you can’t get year-round, there’s the obvious Snow Fairy pick and some fresh releases too. There’s never a better time to shop at Lush to be honest whether it’s for yourself or for gift giving purposes.
What I got
- Snow Fairy Shower Gel (£10.00 each)
- Snow Fairy Bath Bomb (£4.95 each)
- Candy Cane Bubble Bar (£3.95 each)
- Santa Reusable Bubble Bar (£8.50 each)
- Santa’s Belly Shower Jelly (£6.00 each)
In hindsight going for the iconic Snow Fairy scent twice was a bit of a really? moment, but I can’t resist this Lush classic. It’s my all-time favourite Lush smell and I honestly wish it was a year-round product, as well all do obvz. The shower gel normally lasts me a while because I’m so stingy with it, so I was excited about the bath bomb which is an obvious one-off, the product itself looks really cute with a snowflake on top, it’s an unmistakeable scent and I bet most of us could guess it from a mile off, so I don’t need to go into too much detail but I will say that the bath bomb going off inside my bath was very satisfying to watch and our flat was smelling great afterwards too.
With the new releases though and also with the products that I’ve never tried before I found myself keen to try the Santa Bubble Bar, it’s one of the best smells in this years collection in my opinion, it’s really fresh and also nice and strong – I love strong smells that last, so this was something I was very excited about when I was in the Lush store attending their event.
My Favourite picks from this collection
- Snow Fairy Bath Bomb
- Santa Bubble Bar
- Santas Belly Shower Jelly
How I recommend using them:
Snow Fairy Bath Bomb
There’s no right or wrong way to use a bath bomb, but I recommend getting yourself as cosy as possible because after all, that’s what Christmas is all about. Drop the bath bomb into your hot bath water and let it fizz and bubble up your bath, set the mood with some candles, a glass of wine and indulge in some me-time.
Santa Bubble Bar
As these bubble bars are reusable, don’t just stick the entire bar into your bath. This will waste the product! Run the bar under your tap whilst filling your bath to make the most out of the product, the fresh smell will fill the air and your bath will feel silky smooth.
Santa’s Belly Shower Jelly
I love these shower jellies from Lush, they last ages and get you feeling all clean and fresh. I suggest not emptying the entire jelly in one go, break a bit off and put it in the center of your bath sponge, run it over your body until you’re all soapy and then rinse. This ensures longevity and a clean soapy use each time.
Do I think these are great gifts?
Absolutely – individually they may be a bit hard to pack which is why it’s so good that Lush will help you wrap your own presents in-store, or you can buy a gift set that the Lush team have pre-made themselves, the price points for these tends to vary so you can get really cheap to more expensive gift sets, but the more you pay the more you get which is why I personally don’t have an issue with how Lush price their gift sets. I also think that it’s an easy gift, everybody loves good smellies and we all love relaxing, and if bath bombs aren’t your thing then Lush offer such a massive variety of goods that it’s unbeatable. Snow Fairy even has a body spray which has been released for the second time this year, I can actually vouch for it too since it’s a product my family have used before and it comes in a really cute bottle that looks a bit like a cleaning product (and if they ever released a line of cleaning products, you know I’d be all over it).
So, go out, get into your local Lush store and try the new Christmas range – don’t forget to let me know what you got and what you think of it!
