To tell you the truth, I don’t know what makes me feel more emotional. The fact that my niece is already two years old, or the fact that she’s so FREAKING cute. But yeah, over the weekend my little niece turned two years old. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone.
My family love a party though and arranging them, my family have been looking forward to celebrating Harriet’s second birthday with her, and the fun doesn’t stop because her birthday is over, I won a photoshoot a while ago which we’re redeeming next week as part of her birthday celebrations – hopefully we can get it mostly focused on Harriet because none of us are too keen on being in front of the lens this time haha!
I didn’t play a big role in organising this party either, I helped around a little bit but mostly focused on keeping Harriet occupied whilst everyone else set up, I showed her the presents that I had bought her, bathed her and then eventually did an emergency run to my nans flat because she had forgotten to bring the cakes!
Thank you to Post Box Party
To make Harriet feel even more special on the big TWO, Post Box Party kindly sent over a hat for us! It matched the colour scheme of her party, pink and gold, and had her name written across the front. It had a big reaction from everyone including Harriet when my sister brought it out to put on her, she looked so cute in it too!
Post Box Party aren’t limited to hats though, they create all sorts of goodies to make your parties, no matter the occasion, that much more fun. If you want to get yourself one of these cool party hats, you can customise it to have any colour and wording that you want!
I’ve created a party Pinterest board
This birthday party inspired me to create a party Pinterest board, I’ve created sections too for different themes of parties and also to keep myself inspired for whenever I throw a party or to show my family for inspiration for the next party; you can follow it if you want to because I really think there’s some ideas worth trying on the board!
And finally a note of reflection
When I was going through the photos that I shot of Harriets birthday, I couldn’t help but go back to the photos from last year; she’s grown so much in the space of a year which is to be expected, but still had me thinking about how fast time flies and how much we should cherish each day. A year can change a lot of things both good and bad, and this past year we have had an incredible year with Harriet. She’s so funny, clever and very very cute!
