*This Birch Box was sent to me for the sake of review
As you all know, I’ve had a bit of a love-hate stint with subscription boxes, and as I was previously subscribed to Birch Box, I ended my subscription simply because I had been sent the same things quite a few times and I had to use them all up. I never resubscribed just because I’m a bit lazy, many of their boxes have appealed to me since ending my subscription, the Cath Kidston collaboration was a major turn-on and really tempted me back into the Birch Box gang, but alas: I didn’t resubscribe.
So, when Birch Box sent me their March 2019 edition which is themed all around Girl Power – I was definitely happy to try it out and see what was inside! The pamphlet that comes with the box talks all about celebrating yourself and your hard work whether you’re career climbing or you’re balancing an active social life and school life – everything we do is an accomplishment and this box wants to celebrate that!
What To Expect In Your Box:

- Generation Clay Ultraviolet Brightening Clay Mask RRP: £28.50

- Charlotte Tilbury Scent Of A Dream Sample – Full Bottle RRP: £49
What did I think?
Honestly, I was impressed by this box – not only because the contents inside were great, but because it’s been over a year since I last had a birch box and nothing inside this box, had I been sent before. That’s the key to winning me over here. Because when you’re subscribed to these boxes, they’re a convenient treat for yourself at a nice and affordable price. You discover new brands that you love – and if you’re receiving the same things all of the time, it defeats the objective. So this box receives two thumbs up from me for keeping it fresh.
I also love the concept – we have international womens day coming up as well as mothers day at the end of this month, so I’m all for a box that celebrates and encourages us women with the theme, every product inside I know is good before even trying (and the glitter body scrub is a very fun treat BTW), and after trying all of them I was completely satisfied and even tempted to go out and buy a new perfume now as if I don’t already own too many of them as it is.
It’s nice to see a subscription box service that keeps things fresh, has an interesting theme every month and introduces you to new brands that you’re bound to love. This months Birch Box is worth getting in my opinion, even if you don’t subscribe, getting this box as a one off would be a real treat.
