2018 was a rollercoaster to say the least, a lot happened whether it was good or bad, I loved this year though. It was the start of many things for me, the year where I finally came out of my shell and found my comfort zone in life and then pushed past it, it was a successful year for my blog and was also the most fun for family events and work related progress, so I’m pin-pointing some of my favourite things from 2018.

Hopefully 2019 will treat me well, and if it doesn’t, hopefully I will come out of it stronger and better. I want to spend the next twelve months growing more and more as a person, growing my blog more and more and also entering new milestones and leaving the year accomplished – I know it’s too soon to talk about the end of 2019, but I have my goals set and my eyes firmly in goal.

Visited Lisbon 3 times in the space of 12 months

I’ve discovered my second home – somewhere I love just as much as my own home, and I decided to take a trip to Portugal three times this year, each time had something different to offer, December was filled with Christmas magic and my first taste for Lisbon, April was where Pedro and I spent a fortnight living in Bairro Alto exploring the main attractions of Lisbon, and August we ventured further into the country so that he could show me the wonders that Portugal has to offer. Will I be going back in 2019? Well, I plan to, because I’ve fallen for it so much, and also, because my second family are there, people who I have come to love and cherish.

Celebrated Family Milestones

This year I saw my niece get christened and also turn a year old, it’s amazing to see how much she has grown over the space of this year, and how her sassy and cute little personality is showing through the more she grows, seeing her face get excited over food and toys is something that brings me great joy. But, I also attended a wedding to see my auntie and her partner marry after having been together for a number of years, and for my nans birthday my older sister hosted an afternoon tea, celebrating her and her life.

My blog grew…and grew…and grew!

Honestly, the biggest accomplishment this year was watching my blog grow. I’m so thankful for everybody who clicks on this website every day, the people who respond to me on social media and all of the brands who have worked with me this year. When I started this blog nearly 4 years ago, I honestly didn’t think that it would come as far as it has. I’m so thankful to have this space on the internet, and for it to have grown so much. So really, thank you to everyone who was a part of my growth this year – it means so much and I honestly don’t know how to put into words how overwhelmed and happy I’ve become over the last few months with the growth of my blog, which is beginning to feel like someday it could become my job.
