WHAT’S IN MY MAKEUP BAG

I’ve recently begun sorting out my makeup, throwing out and giving away what I no longer love or use, and I’ve been left with some genuine favourites, things that I do love and do use. This makes finding my every-day makeup a million times easier and I definitely felt good after I replaced my old makeup bag with a less bulky, more compact Cath Kidston one.

If you’d like to see my entire makeup and beauty collection, I’m definitely happy to show it to you! Let me know if you’d like to see it all.

Lips

I like my lip products to be varied, I definitely have been leaning towards classic reds this year, and I’ve been expanding my Kat Von D range, I have two of her Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks and I love them – I found that the formulas with them are very different though, with Double Dare being more drying than Nahz Fur Atoo.

I also like drugstore lippies lately too, I’ve introduced my first L’Oreal Paris lipstick into my makeup bag recently, and I’ve been using the berry toned MDMFlow lipstick for quite a while now. Besame were also kind enough to send me out a lipstick to try, and I love it – I wore it all the time the last time I was in Lisbon.

Face

When it comes to my face, I try to use as little as possible because I don’t want to cake too much on and upset my skin – I have acne prone skin and too much product always leaves me with lots of new blemishes.

Eyes

I decided not to show my eyeshadow palettes here, because I can’t fit them into my makeup bag, so if you want to see my palettes I can throw them into an Instagram story or even write up a separate post – let me know.

I’ve been trusting the Kat Von D eyeliner for years now, ever since I first started using it I haven’t looked back and I haven’t used another everyday eyeliner since. However I have recently introduced a Revlon eyeliner into my collection in the shade Evergreen. This is because I like how it looks when blended into eyeshadow, and it has a smudge tool at the other side of the applicator to where the eyeliner is, so I really like using it.

Since I don’t have anywhere else for my sponge to go, she sits happily in my makeup bag. It’s a small one I bought from boots, but it does the job well and blends out my makeup nicely for me.

The Next lip balm was bought for me as part of a gift set that I had over Christmas, I always put it on before I apply anything to my lips, just to keep them hydrated and to prevent them from looking chapped.

This NYX setting spray is also a new addition to my makeup bag, I had read many good things about it and I wanted to try it out for myself – it definitely made my makeup last longer, and I definitely didn’t get that greasy shine that I’ve been struggling with for a while, so this is most likely going to become a staple in my makeup bag.
