November Birch Box

Hey, Reader!
Another month has passed and now it’s time for my November Birch Box, I was really excited about this one so keep reading to see what I received!

To be honest, despite being excited about this months box, I was kind of disappointed with it. This is probably because I was expecting more beauty products, and I remember seeing on Facebook that I was going to receive two full sized beauty products, but when it came it was only one full sized product, which was a Wet hairbrush.

However, despite my disappointment, that doesn’t take away from the quality of the products that were sent. I was sent a Wet Brush Pro, this is a hairbrush designed for detangling, and I did try it out straight away and I noticed that the bristles are very fine and they’re incredibly soft too, handling the brush itself is easy since it’s very light. My regular brush is a GHD paddle brush which is considerably harsh, so I do like my Wet Brush for the kindness it offers to detangling your hair.

The next product I noticed, was one that I’ve never heard of before, it’s a Beauty Protector leave in conditioner,  when I did my research on it I was also thrilled to find out that this is a vegan product, meaning that no animals were tested on and there is no animal ingredients contained in the conditioner. Since I’m currently a little bit unwell, I haven’t had a chance to use this yet, but I did spray it and it does smell gorgeous, and I have high hopes for it. It also got terrific reviews on the Birch Box website!

A brand I am familiar with, and a brand I’ve had before, is Nuxe, I was sent a moisturizer this month, and I don’t think I’ll be running out of moisturizers anytime soon since I get sent a lot of them with Birch Box, but since I’m familiar with the brand, I already knew that I like it and the products really balances out my skin since I have combination type skin. This is a product I’d recommend even if it wasn’t sent with my Birch Box

The smallest sample in my Birch Box, was a lip primer by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. This is another 100% vegan product, (Birch Box pulling through with the vegan products lately!) and I love it. I tend to wear more liquid lipsticks than regular lipsticks because liquid lipsticks last a lot longer without a primer, but now that I have a primer I may start using my favourite non-liquid shades again since I can get them to finally last for longer than an hour. I will say though, this is a product you can’t be too heavy handed with, the formula is pretty thick and a little goes a long way, I made the mistake of putting too much on at first, and it felt really tacky.

Finally, the one makeup sample I received this month was an eyebrow pencil by Bbrowbar, sent in the shade Indian Chocolate, I like the formula but I hate pencils like this most of the time since they require sharpening and tend to go dull after only a few applications, but this is a really nice product since the formula isn’t super creamy and you can get away with using more natural stokes, but this shade is a little too light for my eyebrows since mine are pretty dark.

Overall, I felt okay about this Birch Box, I was expecting more out of it and I was disappointed by the lack of makeup, but it was okay, and hopefully Decemebers box will be better.

Bye, Reader!
